In 2015 PROTUBO celebrates its’ 40th year anniversary. The company was founded in 1975 from the association of two Japanese companies, Ishikawajima Heavy Industries, currently IHI Corporation, and Dai-Ichi High Frequency, worldly known for having pioneered in induction pipe bending and in polyethylene coating.
On 27 February 2015, Solina Global Corporation, a Teak affiliate, acquired 100% of Protubo. Solina Global plans to inject new life into Protubo and dynamically build the business in Brazil and throughout Latin America as part of the Solina Global network.

On 1 September 2016. Former Veyance Technologies’ Brazilian steel cord conveyor belt producer CVB Produtos Industriais LTDA. in São Paulo is sold to Teak Capital Corporation affiliate Solina Global Corporation Ltd.
Pioneer in the development of Engineered Products, CVB was an integrated business unit of Goodyear which produced the first steel cable belt in the world, in 1942 before being part of Veyance Technologies Inc. CVB manufactured the first Flexsteel belt produced in 1976, remaining for decades as the only steel cable belt manufacturer in Brazil. Today CVB remains the quality and safety steel cord conveyor belt leader in Brazil.
